About Madeleine

Hi! I’m Madeleine (she/her). I’m a psychotherapist with over nine years of experience working with clients in New York and California. I grew up in Brooklyn and now live in Queens with my family. As a New Yorker, I strive to bring transparency and open-mindedness to the therapy room—balanced by what I learned living on California’s Central Coast: the value of slowing down and being present.

As a social worker by training, I am attuned to how systemic issues and social environments impact our well-being. Living in this time of widespread injustice and inequity can leave us feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or helpless. While there are limits to what we can control externally, therapy can help us to reconnect with our values and to find meaning, joy, and hope in trying times.

Many of my clients are over-thinkers, frequently preoccupied with questions about how they’re perceived or getting lost in what-if scenarios. In our work together, I’ll help you cultivate a new relationship with yourself that’s rooted in groundedness and self-compassion.

I also know that emotional pain often shows up in the body. Chronic pain, tension, or unexplained symptoms can be natural responses to stress and trauma. Together, we can explore the mind–body connection and find tools to regulate your nervous system.

I practice from an anti-oppressive, LGBTQ+ affirming, and culturally responsive lens.
