FAQs

What is your session fee and do you accept insurance?

I charge $175 for a 55-minute individual session. I accept Aetna insurance. I also reserve a small number of sliding-scale spots.

If you have a different insurance carrier, you may still have out-of-network (OON) benefits. These benefits allow you to submit claims to your insurance company for partial reimbursement even if your therapist isn’t in-network. Coverage, reimbursement rates, and requirements vary by plan. You can check your benefits by looking at your plan documents or calling the customer service number on your insurance card. I’m happy to help guide you through the process of submitting claims if your plan offers this option.

Where do you see clients?

I provide telehealth services to clients in New York and California. I am unable to meet if you are physically located in a different state.

What is the No Surprises Act and How Does it Apply to Therapy?

The No Surprises Act (effective January 1, 2022) is a federal law that helps protect clients from unexpected medical bills. For therapy, this means you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs before starting services if you are paying out of pocket or not using insurance. This estimate outlines session fees and helps you plan for care with no surprise charges.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Unless there is an emergency, sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee ($175).

If I’m interested, what are the next steps?

You can reach out through the “Contact Me” page for a free 15-minute phone consultation.

During this call, you can share a bit about the challenges you’re facing and what you’re looking for in therapy. I’ll explain how I can support you and, if needed, help connect you with a provider or type of care that may be a better fit.
